Watching Riley furiously typing was making Glenn antsy. Nothing was going according to plan except getting permission for Kevin’s parents to temporarily stay at the Blackwood Pack. But a lot of good that did since Smokey hadn’t been able to reach them, nor had any of his messages been read. Whether to send Ghost and Smokey up north without knowing where the parents were or sit it out until contact was made was one of the questions contributing to Glenn’s current state of unease.
And it didn’t help that Smokey was pushing to go, insisting repeatedly Kevin’s parents would never ignore his calls, especially with Kevin missing. Though Glenn acknowledged the logic of his friend’s argument, still, without more men available to back Ghost and Smokey up on what might turn out to be a long hunt, Glenn refused to give his permission. Jumping up, he began to pace, needing it to calm his agitated mind.
Feeling his tiger’s anxiety, Glenn turned to the other issue, this one personal. Sawyer hadn’t responded to Ghost’s text regarding the surfing DVDs, which meant he still didn’t know the location of his mate. As the hours passed, Glenn’s gut was telling him Sawyer was in danger and his tiger agreed.
“Holy fucking shit!” exclaimed Riley.
Turning quickly around, Glenn asked, “What?”
“I hacked Panther’s phone and found out who he’s tracking, and it’s not Kevin.”
“If it’s not him, then why is he after Smokey? Oh shit, don’t tell me the Panther is after my mother!”
Shaking his head, Riley said, “No, not Willow. Do you know an Alexandre Fouché? He’s a dragon according to the file on Panther’s phone, although there isn’t a record of him anywhere…most strange.”
“What the fuck do you mean?” Glenn growled, his tiger’s anger coming to the surface.
“Just what I said. Panther’s target is a dragon.”
“No, not that crap…the other part. If he’s a dragon, he has to be listed somewhere…did you look in the Dragon Master Files? What about the High Council? Did you search all the files, even the confidential ones? Are you sure this isn’t a ruse, just in case his phone was hacked?”
Turning around, Riley glared at Glenn. “Yes, mother, I looked there, and here and everywhere. Do you want to check my work to see if I did it correctly?”
Hearing the biting sarcasm in Riley’s voice caused Glenn to snap his mouth closed. He was out of line and if he hadn’t known it, his friend made damn well sure he knew it now. Dropping down in a side chair, Glenn took a moment to get himself under control. “Sorry, Riley…no excuse for my behavior.”
Peering closely at his friend, Riley noticed the tension in Glenn’s face and body. After working with him for many years, it was a sign Glenn was dealing with something more. “Forget it. Now, why don’t you tell me what’s really bothering you because while I get it that you don’t want The Collector to get his hands on another shifter, it doesn’t explain your reaction when I mentioned Fouché.”
Staring at Riley, Glenn couldn’t explain it to himself, much less to anyone else. It had never happened to him before on any assignment, which is why he was so good at what he did. Cool, detached, always keeping his wits about him, never losing control—but for some fucking reason, his tiger had reacted badly to Riley’s news, warning Glenn of impending danger to the dragon. So where did that leave him? Royally fucked. Finally, rubbing a hand over his face in frustration, Glenn said, “Can’t help you cause I don’t have a fucking clue. My tiger is not happy…seems to feel Fouché is in danger and is demanding I either go or let him free so he can go.”
“O-o-okay, that’s normal, right? Fouché’s in danger so your tiger isn’t telling you anything you don’t already know.”
“Yes…no. This is different. When I’m on a job, my tiger alerts me when I’m in danger. And if I don’t pay attention to him, he’ll force a shift to get me out of a potentially life-threatening situation. But, this time, he’s trying to do that for someone else…someone I don’t even know.”

Author Bio

The first book I ever wrote was Dire Warning in 2017 and, much to my delight, it became an Amazon Best-Seller. Readers loved it and I was on my way to chronicling the Blackwood Pack, seven brothers who are gay wolf shifters in search of their fated mates—stories about love at first sight with twists and turns, angst and humor, romance and adventure and, of course, happy endings.
As my books began to be translated into other languages, I also became an Amazon International Best-Selling author and then achieved the honor of becoming an Amazon All Star due to their popularity. My tenth book, Darkness Master has just been published and audible versions of the entire series are in progress.
I love the M/M paranormal genre because it gives my imagination a lot of territory in which to roam. My mind can really run wild and come up with some amazing stuff when it doesn’t have to stay inside the box.
My readers tell me they feel like they’re members of the pack as the stories unfold…as if they’re right there in the middle of the action. Others tell me it’s like watching a fast-paced movie. My writing style pulls no punches…readers love it and are always clamoring for the next book.
Stories come to me as if channeled by my characters, all of whom I love (except for a few villains). They are eager to recount their lives, loves and adventures and are not inhibited when it comes to revealing steamy, sexy details.
I currently live in the Northeast and love the beautiful change of seasons, my husband, and our quirky calico cat, though not necessarily in that order. I’m always happy to hear from my readers and can be reached through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or my website.
