Blurb
Life for Isamu Taylor is now a Cinderella story that includes a Manhattan loft, a new position in the hottest LGBT film production company in New York City, and an upcoming wedding in Bryant Park to his very own handsome prince.

He’s come a long way from that struggling film student with ratty sneakers and shaggy hair. Isamu is now living an urbanite’s fairy tale with that happily ever after just around a bustling city street corner.

But as all wedding planners know, even the best laid plans seem to go awry, and Isamu and Brian’s wedding is no exception. But love – both old and new – is in the air, so nothing can go too badly, right?

Ky's review:

"Nine Small Sips" is the second part of the "Tales of Bryant" series and it features Isamu and Brian again. I liked this a little bit more than the first book and that's probably because this time we had to do with an established couple.

The first book ended with a proposal and the second starts a couple weeks before the big day with all the anxiety and the craziness that goes with the event and everything that could go wrong actually going that way to spice things up. Because, you know, it would have been such a relaxing day otherwise......

Brian and Isamu are getting ready to legally merge their lives even though they are already as tight as they can be. Isamu has some insecurities to overcome about him being good enough for someone like Brian and Brian for his part has to deal with his parents after fifteen years of radio silence.

Center stage in their big day is, of course, their wedding planner, Adrian, and his lorgnette. You thought it would be the grooms, right? Wrong! It's fabulous Adrian with his mimosas, his swooning, his bigger than Bryant Park personality. He was a little tiring in big doses but in small ones he was a great addition.

There are plenty of side characters for such a short story, and I liked that about the book. Isamu's mother is present again, and this time his grandmother is also making an appearance coming all the way from Japan. Their chins are at the wedding as well!

There is also a new love in the air and there's obviously another book coming about the new couple. I'm not telling who they are though...

I hope there's another part coming about Isamu and Brian and how married life is treating them, but I'm also not holding my breath because I didn't see an indication of it happening any time soon.
