In the New Adult series that began with Go Your Own Way, Will Osbourne and Lennox McAvoy must now face the challenges of a long distance relationship that will determine their future. As Lennox embraces his promising new life and rediscovers old family, Will searches for a future of his own that won’t tear them apart.

Exclusive Teaser Excerpt:

Will directed the conversation back to his long weekend in New York City for his New York University visit. The rest of the ride was filled with talk of Will’s life: his new friends, the towering city landscape, and the great atmosphere he’d found in only a few days. Lennox was glad. Will deserved to have a wonderful experience after all the hard work he’d done to get into NYU. He couldn’t be the only radiance in Will’s life, after all. Lennox turned back to the green world zipping past outside. Oyster howled overhead—a clear, high note only a husky could manage. The sun slipped downward in the periwinkle sky.

Last summer, Lennox had made this same trek with his grandfather. So much uncertainty had awaited him then, and yet so much hope and wonder too. Cameron McAvoy had left his grandson to live at a dank, dangerous motel while he finished his final year of high school. No other school system in Virginia would accept him with his record and the ankle monitor he’d been sporting. Last July, Will and his family hadn’t existed for Lennox. He’d been as alone as he’d ever been, forced to hit the ground running and hope he kept up.

Then Lennox’s senior year had started. He’d met Will and earned himself a harsh slap across the face for his crude remarks. Lennox had certainly made no secret of his intentions, but Will had always been different. Thoughts of him had lingered and caught Lennox as delicately as fog brushing his hand. Will had been interested in him, too, but demanding of something more than physical intimacy. They’d grown together and grown up some as they discovered a deep bond. Lennox had let Will in, and, a year later, after Ben’s heart attack and a vicious attack on Lennox that had driven him from his motel home, they were living together in Will’s basement bedroom, best friends and boyfriends.

Now Lennox was a high school graduate about to embark on a college education he’d never dreamed of. Berklee had been a strange world this past weekend: academia and musical expertise. None of it was anything he’d ever challenged himself to strive for. College was for Will. If Lennox was lucky, he just might keep up once more.
