A must read for all fans of Tell Me It's Real and The Queen & the Homo Jock King! A wedding plus THIS cast of characters? COUNT ME IN!
I'll never turn down a T.J. Klune book, but T.J. writing funny is my jam. I'm obsessed with his lighter stuff, and his particular brand of outlandish, quick-witted, mouth-vomit humor is right up my alley. Some may find his "funny" to be over-the-top, but, for me, it's a perfect fit.
Until You is a novella leading up to the wedding of Paul and Vince, so you really need to have read at least Tell Me It's Real first. Honestly, I'd read a whole book of just Paul's parents and grandma talking nonsense to one another, so having any semblance of a plot or storyline is just icing on top of the cake.
A few scenes stood out to me as humor-gems. "Sexy Paul" doing his thang and WERKING it was worth reading the whole story for, and the scene in the beginning with the dial-up porn (not that I'd know anything about that...) was GOLD.
There were a bunch of laugh-out-loud moments, as I was expecting, but I wasn't as immersed in the story as I was with the first two in the series, which are favorites of mine. Still, I'd rather read this series than almost any other, and hearing Sandy threaten and lovingly abuse Paul is like my comfort food. *kisses*
And do I sense Corey/Kori's story next? I can't wait for that one!
