ARC Review: Te Quiero (Falling for You 1) by Suki Fleet

When Ally discovers naked photos of him have been posted online, he's devastated and tries to contain the situation. Only problem is his laptop has died, and Levi Francis—the guy Ally knows doesn’t like him—sees Ally acting suspiciously on the computers in the University's Physics lab. Ally's day can't get much worse.

But after Levi accidentally drops a love letter written in Spanish, Ally returns it and finds his assumptions about Levi are turned upside down. Betrayed and hurt by his ex, Ally knows it’s the worst possible time to start trusting someone but there’s something about shy, glittery Levi that gets under his skin.

Dani's rating:

"If this is the vast wilderness of love," I whispered, my mouth against his cheek, "let's get lost in it together."

"I don't think I'm lost anymore," he murmured.

This story captures a moment, the beginning of something more.

When Ally (short for Alejandro) finds a love letter in Spanish, he doesn't realize it's meant for him. The boy who wrote it is beautiful and sparkly, with long silvery hair and expressive gray eyes. Even Levi's shyness is "oddly entrancing."

This is a love story about two boys on the brink of adulthood finding their way and finding each other.

Suki Fleet is a poet; her words dance on the page. Ally is reeling from his ex-boyfriend's careless betrayal, and Levi just wants to hold Ally's hand. Even though Ally and Levi spend only two days together, their connection transcends time.

Tentative touches, passionate kisses, tender cuddles, and superhero underwear ... it's all there. Let's face it, can a story about college boys ever feel complete without superhero underwear?

Te Quiero is lightly angsty but mostly romantic and sweet. The ending came far too soon, but even the cynic in me wants to believe in Ally and Levi's forever.
