The Blackwood Pack saga continues…

This is part of an on-going series by Amazon Bestselling Author Mary Rundle and catching up on previous titles is advised. Readers of the past books will enjoy meeting old friends once more as the pack does what it does best ̶ caring for one another and helping shifters everywhere.

Peace Maker Audio - Mary Rundle

Enforcer Dylon Royd worked for the notorious Silver Point Pack until they accused him of disloyalty. Imprisoned and beaten to within an inch of his life, he's dumped at the side of a road and left for dead. Waking up in the Blackwood Pack's hospital, he's shocked to discover his Fated Mate is one of the pack's members he'd been ordered to kill.

Cody is a seer and has grappled with visions all his life, but after most of his family is massacred they have intensified so fiercely he begins to make plans to escape his pain and suffering. Thinking no one wants a freak for a Fated Mate, he tries to reject Dylon until he realizes his salvation depends on accepting him.

A life or death situation for Cody, a rare gift to both from the Fates, a dangerous mission, and an unexpected surprise are some of the challenges they face. Together they begin a journey to save Cody's life while forging a partnership that requires absolute trust for both to survive.

Hi all, Thank you so much for hosting the blog tour of  Peace Maker in Audio. It is exciting to be here and I have an exclusive excerpt today. The narrator is Nick J. Russo, who did a fabulous job in bringing the story to life. The Fated Mates in this story are Cody and Dylon  ̶  a couple that ultimately must have absolute and complete faith in each other or one of them will die. Please enjoy!

Cody couldn’t stop the tiny movements even if he wanted to. Every time the plug brushed his prostate, endorphins flooded his body and mind, which made him constantly seek it again and again. Nothing else was as important to him right now as his mate, because Dylon anchored him. He no longer felt he was going to simply disappear. His eyes scanned the sky and saw the helicopter making its approach. Finally, Cody would meet the woman who had made him laugh when he’d lost the ability to do so.

Jackson watched as Robert opened the cabin door and a man climbed down. Turning around, he reached in and lifted out a petite woman. After setting her on the ground next to him, he turned back to grab his briefcase. Jackson chuckled as the woman gave instructions to her husband and Robert, gesturing toward several packages. That must be Dylon’s mother. Jackson examined Lizzie as she walked toward them wearing a trim turquoise suit with a necklace in a matching color. Short, white, wavy hair surrounded a round face that broke into a wide smile when her sparkling, sapphire-blue eyes spied her son. But what Jackson felt was the kindness that emanated from her. Oh, she will be good with Cody, very good.

He shifted his focus from Lizzie to Dylon’s father, Franklin Royd, who, along with Robert, was piling the packages and luggage at the bottom of the front steps. The High Council’s picture didn’t do justice to the man who stood looking up at him—a tall man with salt and pepper short hair, piercing black eyes, high cheek bones, straight nose and a full goatee. Franklin was wearing a dress shirt open at the neck with rolled up sleeves and a button up vest. But the clothes did little to hide the heavily muscled body which radiated power. Jackson instantly knew Franklin Royd was no fool. This man lived a hard life.

“Alpha Blackwood, I’m Franklin Royd.”

“Welcome to the Blackwood Pack,” Jackson said.

“Thank you for inviting us. This is my wife, Elizabeth.”

“Oh, hush Frank, stop with the protocol. We aren’t on Council business. This is our son’s pack and his Alpha. How do you do, Jackson. May I call you Jackson? That Alpha business is all fine and dandy for formal occasions but you’re family now.”

Jackson couldn’t keep from smiling—even if he wanted to—after listening to Lizzie talk to her powerful husband that way. “That’s fine, Lizzie. I run an informal pack. This is my mate, Steel Valentin and our son, Daniel Maximillian.”

“Oh, isn’t he the sweetest baby ever. Look Frank, doesn’t he remind you of our Dylon when he was just a baby,” Lizzie said, as she let Daniel grab her finger.

“Lizzie, this is my brother Cody, Fated Mate of your son,” Jackson said.

Turning to Cody, Lizzie gushed, “Oh my, you are the handsomest man I ever did see. I mean after my husband and my son,” said Lizzie before adding in a stage whisper, “I had to say that just so I wouldn’t hurt their feelings.”

That did it, Cody roared with laughter. “Thank you, Lizzie. I’ll be sure to remind your son of that fact whenever he needs to be put in his place. Nice to meet you.”

The first book I ever wrote was Dire Warning in 2017 and, much to my delight, it became an Amazon Best-Seller. Readers loved it and I was on my way to chronicling the Blackwood Pack, seven brothers who are gay wolf shifters in search of their fated mates—stories about love at first sight with twists and turns, angst and humor, romance and adventure and, of course, happy endings.

As my books began to be translated into other languages, I also became an Amazon International Best-Selling author and then achieved the honor of becoming an Amazon All Star writer due to their popularity. My ninth book, Mystic Guardian, has just been published and audible versions of the entire series are in progress.

I love the M/M paranormal genre because it gives my imagination a lot of territory in which to roam. My mind can really run wild and come up with some amazing stuff when it doesn’t have to stay inside the box.

My readers tell me they feel like they’re members of the pack as the stories unfold…as if they’re right there in the middle of the action. Others tell me it’s like watching a fast-paced movie. My writing style pulls no punches…readers love it and are always clamoring for the next book.

Stories come to me as if channeled by my characters, all of whom I love (except for a few villains). They are eager to recount their lives, loves and adventures and are not inhibited when it comes to revealing steamy, sexy details.

I currently live in the Northeast and love the beautiful change of seasons, my husband, and our quirky calico cat, though not necessarily in that order. I’m always happy to hear from my readers and can be reached through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, MeWe, email, or my website.
