From the blurb:
In a perfect world, Lucas West would meet someone in one of the BDSM communities he was active in, someone who ached for a Daddy Dom as much as Lucas longed for a Little to care for. They would date, play, build something that was just for them, and share a future together.
In a perfect world, Colt Carter would get through his next deployment and then move closer to DC where he could create at least a semblance of a personal life. He wanted something outside of the Air Force, something kinky, something worth leaving everything behind for eventually. For years, he’d kept his inner Sadist and Daddy Dom locked up, only letting him out to play on rare occasions.
In a perfect world…
In reality, Lucas and Colt met each other.
Ky's rating:
"Top Priority" is the first book in Cara Dee's new series "The Game". It's more like a novella and a prequel for the second book but it can be read as a standalone too as it ends with not one but two epilogues!
Lucas and Colt are two very incompatible people who fell in love and decided to fight for what they wanted despite all the ways they didn't fit together. In the end, they managed to win and make a very happy and loving couple.
These two Doms managed to form a bond against all odds and it was amazing to see how it all started and witnessing the progress of them realising what they hoped to get from the other. They had to put aside some of their wants in order to make it together but the way they talked through everything and how honest they were with each other showed how mature and perfect they were together.
The title of the book is a very significant phrase in this couple's life and future and it's not hard to guess why that is.
I haven't decided yet if I'll read Kit's book "Their Boy" or if I'll choose to keep the first epilogue of Lucas and Colt's book as the end of their story. The reason for that is that I tend to avoid books with more than two Ms, especially if they feature an established couple adding someone new. I'll wait for the blurb, though, before I decide because it's Cara Dee! However, my opinion of "Top Priority" doesn't change no matter what I'll decide to do. I loved this book!
Even though I'm not sure about Kit's book, I know I'll read "Breathless" as soon as possible and I can't wait to see what else this series will bring us!
