Welcome to our first week of celebrations for the amazing
In our first post, we'll take a look at the Island Medics series, as well as Sue's favorite things. Plus, all the way at the bottom is a chance to win one of her books!
First up, Island Doctor
Dr. Jeff Martin has spent five years as a rural general practitioner on the Isle of Wight hiding the fact he’s gay. He travels in secret to see his partner, Tris, but when he discovers Tris has been cheating on him, he ends their relationship. Then Jeff meets island native Cameron Gillard. Cameron is down to earth, lively, and treats Jeff like he’s the most important person in Cameron’s life. Jeff blooms under Cameron’s attention, and he decides to come out to his colleagues and friends.
Just when things are going well, Tris reappears out of the blue. Jeff is no longer interested in Tris, but it seems he has two men to convince. Tris, who can’t believe Jeff is serious about wanting to end their relationship, and Cameron, who can’t hide his jealousy of Tris. Jeff is certain about one thing—the only man he wants in his life is Cameron. Now he just needs to prove it to Cameron.
Jeff had been miffed when Cameron had rejected buying grated cheese and expected him to grate his own instead—especially when Jeff had to buy a cheese grater for the process. He picked up his tub of grated cheese and felt rather proud of himself for getting it in the saucepan, because Cameron took that moment to kiss the nape of his neck again.
“You missed a bit,” Cameron said.
Gritting his teeth, Jeff picked up the few shreds of cheese and flung them at the saucepan.
“Good boy.” Cameron punctuated his praise with an unsubtle grind of his hips.
“We could be doing this in bed—naked. It’s a lot of fun, I hear.”
“This is fun too, and you get dinner.”

Second in the series so far, Island Counselor
Counselor Logan Wilde has a successful therapy practice in London, but when a traumatic incident there leaves him suffering from PTSD, he takes refuge in his holiday cottage on the Isle of Wight, unable to face going back to work. Not that he’s allowed to relax. Logan’s time is taken up with helping Liam Owens, plus there’s Nick Brent, whom Logan discovers collapsed on the beach. Nick and Logan spend their time bickering with each other, but that doesn’t alter the attraction they feel.
Logan is forced to make some hard decisions about his future, which entails facing up to recent events. Only he’s not alone—Nick is with him. Unfortunately someone else makes a decision too, and now trouble is on its way to the Isle of Wight.
Logan sighed as he spooned the granules into their mugs. “Life was very quiet a couple of days ago. It was great.”
Nick snorted loudly. “Did you know your dick gets harder when you lie?”
Logan looked down at the tent in his joggers. “Traitor.”
“At least one part of you likes me.”
“All of me likes you,” Logan muttered. “That’s the problem.”
