ARC Review: Jersey Heat by D.C. Williams

Jersey Heat
From the blurb:

Take two guys, one small apartment with almost no air conditioning, and one sizzling Garden State. When you add some neighbors, a few blackouts, and a lot of sunscreen things get complicated. Can these roommates become more than friends without actually melting their living situation or anything else?

Heather's rating:

I'm a big D.C. Williams fan, and I haven't quite figured out why more people don't read her stuff! I think that she gets better and better with each story that I've read from her, and Jersey Heat was another really enjoyable read.

When I saw the title of this book, I knew that I had to get it. Confession time: I'm a Jersey girl, through and through! I recognized EVERYTHING in this story, so in terms of accuracy, D.C. Williams gets a perfect score.

The story itself is very sweet and a little sexy, even if the progress of the relationship between the two MCs feels a bit rushed in the second half of the story.

Carter is guy that starts off thinking he is hetero-flexible, but finds himself growing more and more attracted to his roommate, Austin, and ends up with a bi-label and a hot little romance to boot. I liked the progression of their relationship from more flirty to hooking up to dating, even if I wish the author would have drawn out the story a little more. I think the sex was hot (this author can really turn up the heat when she wants to, and I'm just WAITING for her to unleash her dirty side on me), and I liked Austin discovering new things, sexually speaking.

I think the Jersey setting and the sweet story, combined with the SCORCHING weather we've been getting on the east coast, made this story strike just the right chord with me. I'm telling you guys, D.C. Williams is an author to watch.
