ARC Review: Ready or Not (Soho Loft Romances #3) by Melissa Brayden

Ready or Not (Soho Loft, #3)
Mallory Spencer is in charge. As the face of Soho Savvy, the advertising firm she owns with her three best friends, it's important that shes poised, polished, and put together. However, as she watches her friends couple up and settle down, she wonders about her own happily ever after. One thing's for sure. It's not going to happen with that blue-eyed bartender from Showplace. It's irritatingly clear that they couldn't be more wrong for each other...or have more chemistry.
Hope Sanders wants nothing more than to keep her head down and craft a better life for herself running everyone's favorite nightspot. That means ignoring the groupies that flock to the bar to stare at her all night. However, an uptight brunette has snagged Hope's attention and she knows a challenge when she sees it.

Arielle's review:

To round out my reviews of the Soho Loft Romances, Ready or Not, here we come.

Ready or Not is the third book in the Soho Loft Romances and, weirdly or not, the one I read first (before I even realized it was part of a series - imagine my complete and utter joy).

So far, Hunter and Samantha are paired off, as are Brooklyn and Jessica. Mallory - rich, somewhat stiff when not with her friends, and controlled - is the only of the four that hasn't paired off.

Enter Hope - the owner of a trendy bar close to the Savvy offices where the women get their buzz after work. Of course, Mallory thinks she's just a bartender and her interest dies there, until Hope clues her in to the big picture. Mallory's inclination towards pretension is definitely tangible in the book and Hope is probably as unpretentious as they come. They make an interesting pair, to say the least.

It was beautiful, honestly, to read Mallory's character develop - to watch the carefully placed veneer crack. And of course, as is always the case with Melissa's books, the characters were hilarious together and incredibly sexy. Incredibly. I have re-read the book several times and I've only owned it for a week.

I'd recommend this to anybody who loves...anything. If you love anything, read this book.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC! Please note, no positive reviews were promised in exchange for a copy of this book.
